Well... First, i've got a Line6 Constrictor... it's a good compressor pedal... but i started looking for some real simple compressor.
You should have no doubt... The most famous and classic compressor since the 70's is the DynaComp.
It's a great pedal!
So simple and so effective.
The bad thing is that its a little bit noisy... well... like any compressor pedal! hahaha
Great buy!

excellent pedal! was what was missing from my set of pedals, I have a morley wha, wha a cry babe, grunge Digitech Tube Screamer TS9, the valve drive doctor, phaser 90, CE2 chorus, noise suppressor, trembling, equalizer, ibanez tuner, volume Boss, line 6 DL4, and now the compressor MRx with an impressive sound.

I have got this pedal since 1982 and I really love to use it with both of my humbucker & single coil pickup guitars. It suits each guitar very well making the sound very creamy, punchy and dynamic. Yes I agree that it do make some static noise but it can be handled with careful adjustment both on the pedal and amplifier. I also have a Boss compressor CS-2 and if I compare both of them I find MXR dyna comp extremely effective for clean sound and furthermore it has got a unique powerful compression...
