MXR Dyna Comp Compressor Sustain Effect Pedal

The MXR M102 Dyna Comp is one of the most popular sought at compressors of all time. The M102 Dyna Comp compressor effect pedal is also a popular but hidden secret weapon in many famous guitarist pedalboard arsenals.

This box will produce that percussive, clicky sound on a clean guitar that you've heard on so many pop hits - the mainstay of 80's pop players - or a mellow sustain for lead work. The M102 is designed to capture the sound and performance of the originals and does with an authentic vintage flavor. Rack spotters may have noticed several Dyna Comps in Dave Gilmour's monster system.

It also adds smooth sustain to lead lines.
Add a vintage flavor to your playing with this compressor pedal. It also allows you to choose output and sensitivity levels.

The M102 In-line compressor “evens out” the signal to your amplifier.
Useful for increased sustain with stable dynamics producing the Nashville studio standard.

Simple, Effective and CLASSIC!! October 24, 2012
Reviewer: leo
Well... First, i've got a Line6 Constrictor... it's a good compressor pedal... but i started looking for some real simple compressor.

You should have no doubt... The most famous and classic compressor since the 70's is the DynaComp.

It's a great pedal!

So simple and so effective.

The bad thing is that its a little bit noisy... well... like any compressor pedal! hahaha

Great buy!

RED PUPPY!!!!!!!!! October 23, 2012
Reviewer: JR
I have got this pedal since 1982 and I really love to use it with both of my humbucker & single coil pickup guitars. It suits each guitar very well making the sound very creamy, punchy and dynamic. Yes I agree that it do make some static noise but it can be handled with careful adjustment both on the pedal and amplifier. I also have a Boss compressor CS-2 and if I compare both of them I find MXR dyna comp extremely effective for clean sound and furthermore it has got a unique powerful compression...
